The Light and my Shadows

“The man who comes back through the Door in the Wall will never be quite the same as the man who went out. He will be wiser but less sure, happier but less self-satisfied, humbler in acknowledging his ignorance yet better equipped to understand the relationship of words to things, of systematic reasoning to the unfathomable mystery which it tries, forever vainly, to comprehend.” – Aldous Huxley

After 30 years… after 30 years full of chaos and battles which left nasty scars in my soul… never had I felt more alive. Revived. A new lease of life. Photography is helping me recover from the seemingly unending ruts that walloped me into nearly giving up. This art taught me a lot… no, none of those technical stuff and terminologies, these naturally just come along with learning photography… it taught me how to look at life from different angles, fresh perspectives, zooming in and zooming out, finding beauty in the stalest of things. I know there’s so much ahead, good and worse, but with this new found passion, I am reminded that life is not that ugly afterall. It’s just a matter of point of view, depth of field on understanding, that shadows bring depth to things, and appreciating the light life has to offer.

Aldrin + Ady: The Wedding Day

Alas, they got to the big day... still sporting those charming smiles and bubbly disposition.  Surrounded by their closest friends and immediate family, the couple had their preparation, reception, and honeymoon at the Apo View Hotel, and exchanged vows at Sta.Ana Parish (aircon chapel at the side).  Here it is, bits of their big day :)

Aldrin + Ady e-session Video

We had fun shooting this simple but cute video, I hope you have fun watching it too :) :) :) Go Aldrin and Ady! :) :) :)

Aldrin + Ady Engagement Session

Aldrin, an IT expert based on Australia, and Ady, the beautiful nurse from Davao, had their e-session before Christmas 2010.  Supposedly Eden Nature park was the first location but because of the Christmas chaos we went to Lolengs as an impromptu backup.  Needless to say, with the couples' charm and bubbly personality, the esession still went as smooth as originally planned.  These are some photos from the said prenup :) I hope I could say to Ady and Aldrin "til your next wedding"... but hey, we'd love to be with you guys again :) :) :)
